CBL announces appointment of Chief Operating Officer

CBL announced today that it has appointed Suzanne Tindal to the role of Chief Operating Officer for the Group starting 1st February 2018. Ms Tindal has an extensive background and experience in operations, finance, treasury, in debt and capital markets in both insurance and banking and in the public sector. Prior to her appointment with CBL, Ms Tindal was a Director at PwC, and has held operational and strategic roles of Executive Director for Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Western Australia, Melbourne, and in China, India, and Indonesia, after heading up Sale & Servicing of PMI Mortgage Insurance Australia. Her most recent executive appointment was as CFO for Auckland Council, the largest municipal entity in the Southern Hemisphere, with oversight over $45 billion of assets, and an expenditure budget of $3.7 billion. Mr Peter Harris, Managing Director of CBL, said that whilst Ms Tindal's role will be an operational one with the ability to be deployed into a wide range of CBL's international operations, her finance and governance background will also add additional depth and strength to this side of CBL, whilst the search goes on for a replacement to CBL's current CFO, who leaves at the end of April 2018. "With Ms Tindal's appointment coming on the back of Mr Mark Christer's appointment as CEO Europe a few months ago, and more recently Jennah Wootten as Group GM: People & Culture Strategy, CBL has some very high calibre people to build on the existing talented team, and is well placed to support its long-term goals," said Mr Harris.
