Westpac NZ Executive departure and appointments

Westpac New Zealand Limited has announced the following changes to its Executive Team: Stephen O’Brien as Acting Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Stefania Esposito as Acting General Counsel New Zealand; and James Grant as Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr O’Brien and Ms Esposito’s appointments take effect on 2 December 2024, and Mr Grant’s on 13 January 2025. All the appointments are subject to regulatory approvals. Mr O’Brien is currently Westpac’s General Counsel New Zealand, and he will take up his new role when the current CRO Dirk McLiesh leaves Westpac New Zealand. Ms Esposito is currently Head of Regulatory Affairs and Investigations and she takes up her new role when the incumbent Mr O’Brien moves into the Acting CRO role.
