18/11/2024, 08:30 NZDT, ADMIN

18 November 2024 Contact CFO Dorian Devers promoted to Chief Development & Major Projects Officer Contact has today announced the appointment of Dorian Devers, Contact’s Chief Financial Officer, to a new role as Chief Development & Major Projects Officer. Speaking of the appointment, CEO Mike Fuge, said he was delighted to have Dorian accept the pivotal role that would help shape the future trajectory of Contact Energy. “Contact is continuing its ambitious programme to be a leader in New Zealand’s decarbonisation. This is demonstrated through our major investments recently commissioned, or under construction, and our significant pipeline of further development opportunities across geothermal, solar, batteries, CO2 and wind projects. “We have spent considerable effort over the last four years getting projects off the ground and building execution muscle. We now see further opportunity in reducing cost and increasing the speed of developments by having the end-to-end development and project execution in one place,” said Mr Fuge. Dorian has been at Contact since 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. During that time, Dorian has led the financing of the multi-billion-dollar renewable development programme that Contact is currently executing. Most recently he led the proposed acquisition of Manawa Energy with the scrip/ cash deal structure - one of the largest on record in New Zealand outside of the Mixed Ownership Model process. Prior to this Dorian held senior international roles with BOC and Linde in the UK, Australia, Europe and Africa. This new role brings together the development and major projects functions, with the upcoming retirements of Jacqui Nelson, Chief Development Officer, and Jack Ariel, Major Projects Director. “I want to thank Jacqui and Jack for their exceptional contribution. Our success with the development of Tauhara and Te Huka 3 geothermal power stations, the grid-scale battery and solar projects under construction, and the recent commitment to Te Mihi Stage 2 reflect their leadership and contribution to Contact’s growth and New Zealand’s decarbonisation,” said Mr Fuge. Dorian will take up the new role with effect from 1 January 2025. Recruitment for a replacement CFO will begin immediately. - ends - Investor enquiries Shelley Hollingsworth Investor Relations and Strategy Manager +64 27 227 2429 shelley.hollingsworth@contactenergy.co.nz Media enquiries Louise Wright Head of Communications and Reputation +64 21 840 313 media@contactenergy.co.nz
