19/06/2024, 16:39 NZST, ADMIN

19 June 2024 NZX Announcement For immediate release NZ WINDFARMS ANNOUNCES DIRECTOR RESIGNATION: Neal Barclay NZ Windfarms announces that Neal Barclay has resigned as Director of NZ Windfarms effective immediately. Mr Barclay who is also CEO of Meridian Energy, today advised the Board of NZ Windfarms of his decision to resign. This is due to NZ Windfarms ongoing focus on exploring further development options and a desire to avoid any perception of conflict of interest in the event that NZ Windfarms looks to partner with third parties on such options and Meridian wishes to be considered. Neal said "I have enjoyed my short tenure on the NZ Windfarms Board and getting to know the Board and Management. I look forward to continuing to work together on the Te Rere Hau windfarm repower and, if the opportunity presents, on other future development options". Neal also confirmed that Meridian would not be appointing another director on the Board for the very same reasons. NZ Windfarms Chairman Craig Stobo thanked Neal for his short but impactful tenure as director on the Board. "Neal has added significant value during his time on the Board. We have appreciated his input as we partner with Meridian to successfully deliver New Zealand's first ever wind farm repowering at Te Rere Hau. In addition to their partnership on this project, we also value Meridian’s support as a significant shareholder”.
