Memorandum To: Market Participants From: NZX Product Operations Date: Thursday, 16 December 2021 Subject: Trustpower Limited ("TPW") - Trading Halt of Securities Message: NZ RegCo ("RegCo") advises that, at the request of the company, it has placed a trading halt on Trustpower Limited ("TPW") Ordinary Shares. The trading halt was placed at premarket open today. The trading halt has been put in place as TPW has been advised that the High Court decision in respect of TECT's restructuring is to be released at 10:30am today. The High Court's approval to TECT's restructure is the remaining key condition of TPW's sale of its Retail Business to Mercury NZ Limited. The trading halt will remain in place until the earlier of: a) An announcement made by the issuer concerning the High Court decision; or b) Market open on Friday 17 December 2021.
