6 December 2019 New members appointed to NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal NZX is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicola Greer, Kirsty Campbell and Kristy McDonald ONZM QC to the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal for a three-year term. The Financial Markets Authority has confirmed their appointments. NZX Head of Market Supervision, Joost van Amelsfort, says the new members of the Tribunal bring a wide range of complementary skills and a depth of experience from industry and the broader capital markets community. "We are delighted to have new appointees of this calibre to support the crucial work of the Tribunal in ensuring the integrity of our markets". Nicola Greer is a director of South Port New Zealand Limited and New Zealand Railways Corporation, and was previously a director of Heartland Bank Limited. Nicola has extensive New Zealand and international experience in fixed income, forex and derivatives markets, including senior roles with Goldman Sachs and Citibank. She holds a Master of Commerce with First Class Honours in Management Science (Operations Research) from the University of Canterbury. Kirsty Campbell is a director of Salt Funds Management Limited, The New Zealand Home Loan Company Limited, and is on the board of Public Trust. Kirsty has 20 years' corporate finance and advisory experience in executive and governance roles. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh, and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors. Kristy McDonald ONZM QC is one of New Zealand's senior barristers and a Queen's Counsel, holding a number of significant governance roles. Kristy has 40 years' litigation experience across a range of complex civil, criminal and public law matters, becoming a barrister sole in 1989 and a Queen's Counsel in 1999. She has extensive experience leading a wide range of inquiries and reviews, from corporate and departmental, to high profile Ministerial, Government and Royal Commission inquiries. Kristy is currently Chair of Kiwifruit New Zealand, Director of ACC, Director of the Racing Industry Transition Board and is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Ministry of Social Development. She has previously been Chair of the Real Estate Agents Authority, the Judicial Control Authority for Racing, the Mental Health Review Tribunal and the Immigration Removal Review Authority, and Deputy Chair of the Electoral Commission. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Otago, and a Master of Laws (Honours) from the University of Canterbury.
