Appointment of Chairman

Mercer Group Limited ('MGL') announces today that Trevor Burt has been appointed as Chair of MGL. Trevor has a long and successful track record at both the management and governance level of business in New Zealand and globally. His experience in manufacturing businesses and export focused agri-businesses positions him well to assist MGL on its next period of growth and evolution. Trevor was a member of the Executive Board of Linde Group, holding positions with them across China, North America and Europe before returning to New Zealand in 2008. Trevor is currently the chair of New Zealand Lamb Company North America Ltd and Rua Biosciences Ltd, and a director of Silver Fern Farms Ltd, Market Gardeners Ltd and Landpower Group Ltd. He is also previous Chair of Ngai Tahu Holdings Ltd and Lyttleton Port Company Ltd, and previous director of PGG Wrightson Ltd and Mainpower Ltd.
