ANZ considers Bond offer

NZDX Announcement For release: 18 May 2018 ANZ considers Bond offer ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited (ANZ) announced today that it is considering making an offer of a new series of unsecured unsubordinated fixed rate bonds with a term of five years (Bonds) to New Zealand retail and institutional investors. The offer is expected to be for up to NZ$100 million with the ability to accept unlimited oversubscriptions at ANZ's discretion. It is expected that full details of the offer will be released on 21 May 2018, when the offer is expected to open. The Bonds are expected to be quoted on the NZX Debt Market. The issuer only intends to make a primary offer of these Bonds to the public in New Zealand and to certain New Zealand institutional investors. ANZ is seeking preliminary indications of interest. Investors can register their interest in the offer by contacting ANZ or their financial advisor. No indication of interest will involve an obligation or commitment to acquire the Bonds. No money is currently being sought and the Bonds cannot currently be applied for or acquired under the proposed offer. If ANZ proceeds with the offer, it will be made pursuant to the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 as an offer of debt securities of the same class as existing quoted debt securities.
